Canon PowerShot A590IS 8MP Digital Camera

I’m going to get a new camera (old one’s not working) and I want a really good one that I’ll get my money’s worth out of and be able to take great shots, even videos, just for everyday things as well as events. I found out about this one and reviews made it sound great, but I’m just getting backup opinions before I decide to buy it. I even found a site to get it for $160 instead of $400. So if you could rate it 1-10 and say why, or just give comments, that’d be great.

I am contemplating buying a nicer camera. I have a Canon PowerShot a610 which unfortunately broke after 2 yrs of use (my fault). I had an extended warranty that covered the dropped camera, but unfortunately the camera that they sent as a replacement is an PowerShot a560 which feels cheap and does not have the nice swivel viewfinder. So I was going to sell that one and want to buy something nicer.

I picked the a610 because it had good reviews, had little delay in taking pictures and (for the time) great battery life. I am no camera pro ie aperture and exposure are things I would prefer the camera figure out for me. I take photos indoors and outdoors, but will be visiting the southwest a lot in the future so probably more outdoors. Any brand is fine, but I’d like to stay under $600.

Well the thing that you look into fell off and got lost. You know the thing that goes around it, well I lost it, is there anyway I can buy another one?

Waterproof Case

Ok, i knw that the new Canon Powershot SD850 IS jst came out. I REALLY want it, but before i get it, i want to knw if it’s really that good of a camera. Plz tell me the Good and the Bad sides of having this camera…thanks!

I recently bought two digital cameras that I intend to use this year for taking pictures for my schools newspaper. I’m currently not an experienced photographer, but I’m trying to pick the superior camera, that will also allow the potential for growth.
